What I found interesting about this commercial is the creativity but in a non conventional way. Whats makes this commercial so different than many of the advertisements I’ve seen in the past is that the ad agency didn’t really need to think of any new ideas to form this commercial, the idea was already there. We gave them a brilliant commercial, so you know what America, pat yourself on the back, WE’RE ALL IDIOTS. Or maybe robot zombies, which ever tittle you prefer.
We have all caught ourselves texting or looking at our phone at the wrong time. The commercial is relatable, in the most way possible, to the average americans life . Personally I cant say I’m talented enough to ride a bike and text although people obviously are but I have definitely caught myself walking down the street, lying on the beach, being ignored by boys, trying to enjoy a concert, and I’ve even missed a couple steps walking down the stairs.
Ever since becoming a media major and journalism minor and taking classes like this I have been way more aware of when I am on or even touching my cellphone. I find it pretty ironic that this commercial that is a borderline PSA is actually for a new cell phone. A cell phone that saves us from our phone. Really? Is that really possible?
Hopefully but doubtfully this blunt depiction of what society is really like when it comes to cellphones will not only help promote the product which is what the commercial was made to do but will help spread awareness and save us all.

i think the ad is unconventional solely for the purpose of breaking through the clutter. its claim that this new phone can break technology addiction is absurd on its face.
